Abstract:
Due to the interaction between queues the steady state distribution of a queueing network may be intractable. Instead we investigate the limiting distribution when one or several queues get big. We use an h-transform approach which yields exact asymptotics of steady state and provides insight about the large deviation path that causes these big queues.
